I got lucky. That’s not an attempt at false modesty. We were walking along a Northumberland dirt track, and I spotted the cobwebs, turned my camera’s auto setting to “Close Up”, waited for the sun, leaned in and snapped a few shots off – no time for anything else because my friends were well on the way towards the horizon by this point.
I’d completely forgotten about the word “gossamer”. Lovely word, too. Ta.
@sevim77 "Fly angel fly | With golden soul alive | She said "I won't leave you in heaven" | I thought: angels did not lie." I rest my case. 9 hours ago
@SabinaLohr I reckon it's like an author finding his/her book in a bargain bin with "SALE: 95% off!" slapped all over it. ;) 9 hours ago
@sevim77 The Jones Gang - "Angel". First time I've heard it. (Nicely sung, appallingly naff lyrics). 9 hours ago
Ooh, nice capture. Having tried to photograph rain-covered gossamer myself, I know how blinkin’ hard it is to do.
I got lucky.

Thanks.
And aye, with profound implications. Cue the next dazzlingly clever green material.
